In accordance with the instructions of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, the next humanitarian aid to the Islamic Republic of Iran was dispatched on April 4.
Modern.az reports that the aid was provided in accordance with the telephone conversation held between Presidents Ilham Aliyev and Masoud Pezeshkian on March 8, 2026. The purpose is to support meeting the current needs of the neighboring and friendly Iranian people.
The humanitarian aid sent to the Islamic Republic of Iran includes various food products, medicines, and medical supplies with a total volume of 200 tons. This includes 190 tons of food and food products, 7 tons of medicines, and 3 tons of medical supplies.
The humanitarian cargo was dispatched by 10 trucks (TIR).
It should be noted that, in connection with the escort and presentation of the next humanitarian aid sent by the Republic of Azerbaijan to the other side, officials from the Apparatus of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the State Agency for State Reserves of Azerbaijan have departed for a visit to the Islamic Republic of Iran.
