On April 6, a one-on-one meeting was held in Tbilisi between President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and President of Georgia Mikheil Kavelashvili.

The importance of the transport and energy projects jointly implemented by Azerbaijan and Georgia was emphasized, and their strategic and economic significance was noted.
During the meeting, the role of the normalization process between Azerbaijan and Armenia in ensuring stability and security in the South Caucasus was highlighted.
The Presidents of Azerbaijan and Georgia expressed their satisfaction with the cooperation between their countries within international organizations and exchanged views on the prospects of their relations and other issues of mutual interest.
