The “Azerbaijan Publishing House” Limited Liability Company, subordinate to the Administration of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, has carried out a procurement for the acquisition of construction and electrical materials.
Modern.az reports that the winner of the procurement was “Direct Line Trading” LLC.
According to the information, the value of the contract is 70,000 manats. The procurement was carried out using a single-source method.
The contract entered into force on April 6, 2026, and will remain in effect until December 31, 2026.
It should be noted that during a visual technical inspection conducted by the Azerbaijan Research Institute of Construction and Architecture in January of this year, serious problems were identified in the 9-story building of the publishing house. It was reported that due to the lack of major repairs for many years, defects have appeared in the main load-bearing structures, water-sewerage, and electrical lines of the building, and the technical condition of the elevators is unsatisfactory.
Considering that the current situation is dangerous, it was emphasized that major repairs are necessary in the building, and it was noted that due to the extensive scope of work, it is not possible to carry them out in parallel with the building's operation. For this reason, a decision was made to suspend the building's operation starting from February 1.
