Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova, responding to a question regarding the statement of the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry, stated that Moscow will convey its response to Baku through diplomatic channels.
Modern.az reports, citing local media, that Zakharova commented on this question due to Azerbaijan's earlier protest to Russia regarding the discussion of the Karabakh issue at the Pashinyan-Putin meeting.
Meanwhile, Zakharova recalled that Russia and its leader Putin have played a key role in resolving the conflict.
"Russia has sought to create conditions for resolving this sensitive issue, which has been ongoing since the 1990s. In recent years, Yerevan and Baku have decided to conduct dialogue without intermediaries, and this decision is understood by Russia. At the same time, much work still needs to be done to make the normalization process irreversible".
She recalled that the resolution of the conflict was formalized by the decision to dissolve the OSCE Minsk Group, which was supported by Moscow.
