In the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, the institution of Ombudsman has been abolished.
Modern.az-According to, a session of the Supreme Assembly of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic was held.
First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Assembly Bakhtiyar Mammadov, during the discussion of the Law of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic “On the Abolition of the Law of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic ‘On the Commissioner for Human Rights (Ombudsman) of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic’”, noted that with the Constitutional Law of the Republic of Azerbaijan “On the Approval of Amendments to the Constitution of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic”, provisions related to the Commissioner for Human Rights of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic were removed from the relevant articles of the Constitution of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic.
For this reason, the necessity arose to abolish the Law of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic “On the Commissioner for Human Rights (Ombudsman) of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic”.
The law was put to a vote and adopted.
