Clarification has been provided regarding the information disseminated about taxi operations.
Information on this matter was provided to Modern.az by AYNA. It was stated that Decree No. 210, adopted by the Cabinet of Ministers on April 7, applies only to the field of ordered irregular passenger transportation and does not cover taxi operations.
It was noted that, according to the decree, proposals to be submitted within two months are specifically related to irregular passenger transportation. Within this framework, the determination of technical specifications, as well as requirements for the interior and exterior design of vehicles, is envisaged.
The statement recalled that ordered passenger transportation includes buses and minibuses operating on the basis of tourist or inter-district orders, passenger cars, corporate service vehicles, as well as vehicles rented for private events. It was emphasized that this approach also applies to cargo transportation activities.
