In this regard, in the World Bank Group's "Business Ready" report, the failure of legislation to establish the mandatory periodic updating of the minimum wage was included in the category of questions leading to a loss of points.
Considering the above, a draft law arising from the necessity to amend the Labor Code was prepared to ensure the implementation of the measure "Carrying out legislative reforms in the field of labor relations and employment" related to the "Workforce" indicator of the World Bank Group's "Business Ready" report, approved on February 19, 2025, by the Deputy Prime Minister, Chairman of the Commission on Business Environment and International Ratings.
It was stated that the adoption of the project will ensure the periodicity of determining the minimum wage, which is considered an effective tool for social protection in the country, and the reason for the country losing points regarding the question mentioned in the said report will be eliminated.
