The tuition fees for individuals with special needs for social protection, during their education (excluding additional education) on a paid basis in educational institutions of the Republic of Azerbaijan, will be covered by the state budget.
Modern.az reports that the issue is reflected in the draft law “On Education” discussed at today's plenary session of the Milli Majlis.
Thus, the tuition fees for individuals with special needs for social protection, during their education on a paid basis in educational institutions, are covered by the state budget.
Furthermore, according to the “Rules for the Content, Organization of Additional Education and the Issuance of Relevant Documents to Persons Who Have Received Education in Any Direction of Additional Education”, retraining education, repeated higher, secondary specialized and high technical vocational education, degree advancement, and adult education are carried out only on a paid basis, and the relevant financial expenses are covered by the organization where the personnel works or by the personnel themselves. Thus, additional education is also paid for individuals with special needs for social protection, and no funds are allocated from the state budget for their education.
To eliminate contradictions between normative legal acts, it is proposed to enshrine relevant clarifying amendments in the Law “On Education”.
