UNEC Rector Adalat Muradov's initiative regarding a book donation to Karabakh University has generated widespread resonance in society. The Rector's donation of 500 books from his personal library to Karabakh University and his call for intellectuals to join this campaign are regarded as a significant step towards the revival of education in our liberated territories.

Modern.az has inquired whether the deputies of the Milli Majlis will join this initiative.

Chairman of the Science and Education Committee, Professor Anar Isgandarov, stated that he would join this initiative:

“History books will constitute the majority among the books I send,” the committee chairman stated.

Deputy, literary critic Elnara Akimova also stated that she would join the rector's initiative, wishing to donate both her own books and those of young writers to the university:

“What could be more beautiful than instilling the spirit of books in society and the growing youth? I once read a good idea that says: wherever a library opens, it means a prison closes. Such actions also instill a healthy morality in our youth so that they can grow into useful individuals.”

“I believe my books will be useful to university students in acquiring a scientific-theoretical foundation and aesthetic knowledge. I would also donate various literary works of different themes and genres from my library to our students. In particular, I would gladly share the literature created by the latest literary generation. This way, students would learn about the essence of new-era literature and satisfy their aesthetic appreciation by enjoying reading,” the deputy emphasized.

Member of Parliament Jeyhun Mammadov also believes he will not stay out of this initiative:

“I am ready to donate the books from my personal library to the students of Karabakh University. I have more books related to linguistics, history of religions, and theology, and I will share these books with the students. We all must actively participate in this initiative.”

“The creation of a library that reflects scientific achievements and meets the demands of the modern era is a priority. Work is underway in this area, and we must further accelerate this process and participate actively. I call on everyone to support this initiative,” he noted.

Deputy Tanzila Rustamkhanli stated that she would send many books to the students, primarily including those by People's Poet Sabir Rustamkhanli:

“I welcome Adalat Muradov's initiative. In the nearest future, I will join the initiative to send books to Karabakh University. Of course, first and foremost, I will send Sabir Rustamkhanli's books to the students. As a family, we have a very rich library. We are considering donating a certain portion of the books to universities, including Karabakh University,” Deputy T. Rustamkhanli noted.

Chairman of the Committee on Public Associations and Religious Organizations, Fazil Mustafa, stated that he plans to donate his own authored books to the university first:

“First, I will donate my own books to the students. I have approximately 30 books, and I will try to present 2-3 copies of each to the university. At the same time, if there are two copies of any books in my library, I will collect those books and give them to the university. However, I do not intend to give away my single-copy books. This is because I want to protect my personal library as a kind of brand. Nevertheless, I will do my best.”
