Some politicians try to exploit the relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan and diminish Georgia's strategic role, which no other route can replace.
Modern.az reports that this was stated by Georgian Foreign Minister Maka Bochorishvili.
She noted that the construction of a new road between Azerbaijan and Armenia is beneficial for the region, and Tbilisi does not view this as competition for the route passing through Georgia.
The minister stated that "Despite the emergence of new directions, Georgia consistently maintains its strategic importance on the global geopolitical map."
