Although the April battles covered a short period in Azerbaijan's military history, they are remembered as one of the pages that left an indelible mark on memories. That war on the front line demonstrated not only the military but also the moral unity of the people and their devotion to the homeland once again. These battles were the result of the heroic, unwavering, and proud will of our martyrs. Each of the young people who were martyred in those days left behind unfulfilled dreams and unforgettable memories. Today, a photo, a letter, a memory left by them becomes an expression of both sorrow and pride. Similarly, like the last photo and letter left by Fakhreddin…
The “Last Photo Left by a Martyr” section of the Modern.az website continues. This presentation of our section is dedicated to the memory of April battles participant - martyr Fakhreddin Seyfaddin oglu Gurbanli.

According to the martyr's father, Seyfaddin Gurbanov, his son's last photo was taken one day before the April battles began:
“This photo was taken one day before the war, at the moment when the psychological readiness of the soldiers, including Fakhreddin's comrades-in-arms, was being checked.
It was approximately 10-15 days before the April battles. It was around 1 AM, and the postman called to say a letter had arrived. I went to the postman's house that night and picked up the letter. I didn't know, but when I opened it, I saw there was also a photo inside.
Fakhreddin was such a son that I used to visit him every month when he was in military service. However, I couldn't go the last month. The reason for this was a health problem with his mother".
The martyr's father states that Fakhreddin was also one of the students who received the highest scholarship in the university's history:
"But he didn't spend the scholarship he received on himself; he would help orphanages and elderly care homes. He had graduated from the university with an honors diploma. He had his own plans and dreams. He also postponed his master's education to first fulfill his duty to the homeland, and then continue his education and career. Fakhreddin was also a very patriotic child...
Fate brought it to this... Like every parent, I also had dreams. I had raised him hoping that one day I would see his happy days...”
Fakhreddin Seyfaddin oglu Gurbanli was born on January 13, 1994, in the Binagadi district of Baku city. He studied at Secondary School No. 179 named after Gorkhmaz Bakhshiyev.
