The 140th anniversary of the birth of the great Azerbaijani composer, the pinnacle of Turkic world music, Uzeyir Hajibeyli, is being widely celebrated not only in Azerbaijan but also throughout the world.
Modern.az reports that the Ministry of Culture has released information on this matter.
With the aim of celebrating the 140th anniversary of Uzeyir Hajibeyli and promoting his rich legacy, the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Azerbaijan is implementing joint projects with Azerbaijani Cultural Centers in foreign countries.
Based on a joint project between the Azerbaijani Cultural Center in Turkey and Ankara University of Music and Fine Arts, the internal street of the University has been named after the great Uzeyir Hajibeyli.
Today, December 23, the opening of Uzeyir Hajibeyli Street on the premises of Ankara University of Music and Fine Arts, as well as a concert program prepared by the Azerbaijani Cultural Center at the University regarding Uzeyir Hajibeyli's works, will be presented.
