Some students applying for an education loan receive a refusal for their applications because they do not meet certain criteria.
Modern.az reports that this was stated by Bahruz Azimov, Chairman of the Fund's Board of Directors, while answering questions from media representatives at the report event on the 4-year activity of TTK.
The Chairman noted that applications for social loans are checked through an electronic system, and the student's compliance with the social status criteria defined by legislation is taken as a basis. If these criteria are not met, the application for a social loan is rejected.
He also added that for standard loans, the decision is made solely based on the student's academic performance. Thus, if a student has an academic performance below 71 points in the second and subsequent semesters, their application for a standard loan is refused. In both types of loans, a student having a failing grade in a subject also leads to a refusal decision.
