Starting from next Tuesday, the winter holiday for schoolchildren begins.
Modern.az reports that in 2026, in general education schools in Azerbaijan, the winter holiday, in accordance with the traditional calendar, will last from January 27 to 31. The holiday will last for 5 days.
Students will return to classes in the second semester starting from February 2. The reason for this is that February 1 falls on a Sunday. Thus, the educational process will resume uninterrupted and in accordance with the calendar.
It should be noted that the duration and dates of the winter holiday have been determined based on the relevant decision of the Cabinet of Ministers. For teachers and the administrative staff of schools, these days are considered regular working days, and they continue their pedagogical, methodological, and organizational activities.
