Call to Applicants!

11th-grade students have already taken their graduation exams. A larger entrance exam awaits them. However, the announcement of graduation exam results within 7 weeks is causing concern among applicants.

Considering that many applicants claimed the exam questions were difficult and the majority did not achieve good results, this creates additional stress: the question “How many points have I scored?” worries them. It is interesting how, in such situations, an applicant can prepare for the block exam and focus on their studies?

Generally, to what extent does the late release of exam results affect their performance in the block (entrance) exam?

Modern.az reports that Khazri Muradov, "Young Teacher of the Year," spoke to "AzEdu.az" on the topic.

He noted that the graduation exam is over and cannot be changed:

"11th-grade students have already completed their graduation exams, and a more decisive stage – the entrance, or block exam – awaits them. The fact that the announcement of graduation exam results requires a certain amount of time naturally causes concern among some applicants. Especially for students who believe the exam was difficult, the question “How many points have I scored?” creates additional psychological tension.

However, there is a very important point here: students should focus on the upcoming goal, not the past. The graduation exam is over and cannot be changed. Now, the main goal is to prepare for the block exam to the maximum extent possible. Applicants must understand that the block exam holds a larger share in the overall result and yields more points. Smart and goal-oriented students can improve their results by taking this stage more seriously".

There is also a positive side to the slightly delayed announcement of results:

"Regarding the checking of graduation exams, I would also like to note that this process is a rather responsible stage requiring the analysis of numerous questions. I am currently one of the teachers participating in the checking process, and I can say that the work is continuing intensively and rapidly. At the same time, it is important to allocate time for the accurate and fair evaluation of each answer. For this reason, a certain delay is normal. We even anticipate that the results may be announced sooner than expected.

On the other hand, there is also a positive aspect to the slightly delayed announcement of results. During this time, students psychologically put the graduation exam behind them and begin to focus their attention on the future. I work with my own students in precisely this direction, moving them away from dwelling on past results and motivating them for the upcoming exam.

My advice to applicants who are still unable to focus is this: instead of thinking about the result, create a daily plan and move forward with small steps. Every day, review certain topics, work on practice tests, and monitor your own progress. Remember that success comes not from a single exam, but from continuous and proper preparation.

Most importantly, believe in yourselves and direct your energy not to the past, but to the opportunities ahead. Because the stage that determines the main result is still to come".
