A number of universities in the Middle East have switched to online education amid threats voiced by Iran.

Modern.az, citing foreign media, reports that the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has stated it could strike universities linked to the US and Israel in response to attacks on Iranian universities.

According to the information, the American University in Beirut has announced that it will switch to full distance learning starting today. The Lebanese American University has also adopted a similar decision.

In addition, the branches of Georgetown University, Texas A&M University, and Virginia Commonwealth University School of the Arts in Qatar have stated that education will continue in an online format until further notice. American universities in Kuwait, Dubai, and Ras Al Khaimah have also switched to distance learning since the beginning of the month.
