Information has been disseminated regarding the delay in student scholarships for February and March in a number of higher education institutions.
Modern.az sent inquiries to higher education institutions to clarify the disseminated claims.
It was reported by the Azerbaijan State Pedagogical University (ADPU) that the scholarships intended for students for February and March have already been paid.
According to information provided by the Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University (ADNSU), scholarships are paid at the end of each month.
"Regarding scholarships for February, this month is when the semester ends. After the completion of the semester, students' scholarships are determined taking into account their exam results. Let's consider that approximately 20,000 students study at ADNSU, and this process requires a certain amount of time. For this reason, February scholarships were paid in March - before Novruz holiday. As for March scholarships, March ended yesterday, and soon - today, tomorrow - all students' scholarships for March will be fully transferred to their accounts", the information emphasized.
It was reported by the Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU) that the February scholarships for bachelor's students were transferred before the holiday.
"The transfer of March scholarships is planned for this week. The transfer of February scholarships for master's students is planned for today. The transfer of March scholarships is planned for the current week."
