The tuition fees for the children of those who died during demining will be paid from the state budget.
Modern.az reports that this is reflected in the amendment proposed to the “Law on Education” which was discussed at the meeting of the Science and Education Committee of the Milli Majlis.
Thus, the tuition fees for the children of deminers who died while carrying out demining activities, regardless of the form of ownership, will be paid from the state budget during the period they receive paid education (excluding additional education) in educational institutions of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
According to the transitional provisions of this Draft Law, the amendments intended to be applied from September 15, 2026, also apply to the children of deminers who died while carrying out demining activities or lost their lives due to injuries sustained during this period until the date this Law enters into force (up to a maximum age of 23).(APA)
