Secretary of the Russian Security Council Sergey Shoigu said that the situation in the Caucasus constantly requires attention.
Modern.az reports that, according to the TASS agency, Shoigu stated this during a meeting with Secretary of the Security Council of Armenia Armen Grigoryan.
"It is important for us to synchronize our watches. Everything related to recent events, various developments taking place in the region - in the Caucasus as a whole, in the South Caucasus - requires our constant attention and consultations."
Grigoryan stated his readiness to share details regarding the situation in the region and thanked him for the opportunity to meet.
Today, a meeting of the Secretaries of the CIS Security Council is being held in Moscow. Within the framework of the meeting, Shoigu will hold several separate bilateral meetings, including with his counterpart from Azerbaijan.
