As a result of Russia's air attack on November 14, the building of the Azerbaijani Embassy in Ukraine was also damaged. The fence of the embassy territory was destroyed, and structures, service vehicles, the administrative building, and the consular department were damaged.
Modern.az investigated whether the damage caused to our Embassy has been eliminated.
The press secretary of the United Diaspora of Azerbaijanis of Ukraine, Galib Osmanli, stated in his statement to our website that the damage caused has not yet been eliminated:
"Work is underway in this direction. On the day of the incident, a commission consisting of Ukrainian government representatives arrived and assessed the damage. As the missile fell near the embassy, its fragments hit the building. Windows were broken, certain internal walls were damaged, and cars in the embassy courtyard suffered serious damage. Since these strikes are continuous, no one can guarantee that this situation will not recur. As the situation is critical, there is uncertainty. We do not have precise information about the extent of the damage, but the volume is significant.
Because the territory of our embassy in Ukraine is the largest among other diplomatic corps."
G. Osmanli also emphasized that the problems will be fully resolved in the near future, but no one can say that the missile strike will not recur.
It should be noted that this is the 3rd attack on our embassy. A similar incident occurred in June 2022 and in January of this year.
