Armenia and the US are holding active discussions regarding the construction of a railway that will connect Azerbaijan with Nakhchivan.
Modern.az reports that this was stated by Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.
"Currently, we are discussing with our American partners the construction of a railway that will connect the main part of Azerbaijan with Nakhchivan. Why the US? Because this is an integral part of the TRIPP (Trump Road for International Peace and Prosperity) project", he said.
He also noted that after regional communications are opened, Russia will be able to carry out railway cargo transportation to Armenia via Azerbaijani territory.
“Currently, discussions are underway regarding Russia's ability to provide railway transportation to Armenia via Azerbaijan”, - emphasized the Armenian Prime Minister.
