Ukraine has stated that it has received several “signals” from the US regarding possible proposals for ending the war with Russia.
However, Kyiv emphasizes that it has not been involved in the process of preparing and discussing these plans.
Modern.az reports that the "Reuters" agency disseminated this information, citing a source in Kyiv.
According to a high-ranking Ukrainian official who spoke with the agency, the US administration discussed a number of peace options in its contacts with Moscow, and only general information regarding these was conveyed to Kyiv. The official's statement specifically notes that Ukraine did not participate in the discussion of any details.
"Politico", citing a high-ranking source in the White House, writes that a “framework agreement” on ending the war between the parties could be reached as early as this week. According to the source, neither Ukraine nor European countries have been involved in formulating the terms of the document being prepared.
“We will soon present a draft comprehensive peace agreement. The plan we will propose is logical,” a White House official stated.
The Russian side, however, denies the disseminated reports. Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova stated that Moscow has not received any information from the US via official channels regarding any agreement concerning Ukraine.
