Investigations are ongoing regarding the crash of a C-130 military transport aircraft of the Turkish Air Force, which took off from Ganja on November 11, in Georgian airspace.
According to Modern.az, the Turkish press reports that after an extensive inspection at the crash site, the wreckage of the aircraft was transported to Turkey by special vehicles.
The wreckage of the aircraft was handed over to the 2nd Aviation Technical Service facility in Kayseri province, operating under the Turkish Ministry of National Defense. Here, both the wreckage and the data from the black box will be investigated.
Official bodies are currently unable to provide a precise answer to the most important question - why the tail section of the aircraft separated during flight. Experts from TÜSAŞ continue to read the black box data, and the cause of the crash will only become clear after these investigations.
Minister of National Defense Yaşar Güler stated that the full deciphering of the black box and the preparation of the preliminary report will require approximately two months: “According to preliminary information, the tail section first broke off and then split into three parts. This will be officially confirmed after the analysis of the black box.”
The Turkish press, citing government sources, reports that the aircraft disintegrated in the air in just 5 seconds. After the tail broke off, the remaining parts, the nose and wings, began to spin rapidly. Strong vibrations also caused the nose section to separate. Aviation experts state that the separation of the tail section renders the aircraft completely uncontrollable. Videos also show the tail section falling to the ground after the aircraft's mid-section.
Official Ankara states that all details of the crash will become clear after the full deciphering of the black box. The preliminary official report is expected to be released in early 2026.
It should be noted that 20 servicemen were martyred as a result of the crash.
