“Moscow is ready for talks to resolve the Ukrainian conflict”.
Modern.az reports that this was stated by Russian Presidential Press Secretary Dmitry Peskov to journalists.
According to him, the pause in the negotiation process was Kyiv's fault.
"The pause actually arose because Kyiv did not want to continue this dialogue," Peskov said.
He noted that there was no new news regarding the Ukrainian settlement.
Peskov also stated that, if necessary, a telephone conversation between Russian and US Presidents Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump could be organized quickly.
According to him, the work that needed to be done before the meeting of the Russian and US presidents has not yet been completed.
Dmitry Peskov had previously stated that Ukraine would sooner or later be forced into negotiations with Russia, but from a worse position.
