A fire broke out in the area where COP30 was being held in Belém, Brazil.
Modern.az reports, citing foreign media, that the UN climate talks - COP30 - are being evacuated due to a fire breaking out at the event venue located in Belém, Brazil.
UN and security personnel immediately rushed to the scene with fire extinguishers to put out the fire at the COP30 venue in Belém. Smoke engulfed the corridor, and people shouted “fire!”.
Stands, including those of international climate movement organizations, were burned to ashes.
The incident, which occurred one day before the conclusion of COP30, once again demonstrates weaknesses in organizational matters.
It should be recalled that previously, rainwater had flooded the area where the climate summit was held, hindering the movement of participants.
