A knife attack occurred on Line 3 of the Paris Metro in the evening hours. An armed individual attacked several women at the “Arts-et-Métiers”, “République”, and “Opéra” stations. The incidents were recorded between 16:15 and 16:45 local time.
Modern.az reports that, according to information confirmed by metro officials, the assailant first stabbed a woman at the “République” station, then attacked two more women at the “Arts-et-Métiers” and “Opéra” stations. The lives of the injured women are not in danger.
The individual who fled after the attacks was later apprehended in the commune of Sarcelles, located north of Paris.
Following the incident, additional security forces have been deployed to ensure safety on the metro line. An investigation into the incident is ongoing, and law enforcement agencies are working to determine the motives behind the attack.
