Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is on a visit to Canada.
Modern.az reports that he met with Canadian Prime Minister Mark Karni in Halifax.
At the beginning of the meeting, Karni greeted the Ukrainian leader and stated that there are now "conditions and opportunities for a just and lasting peace".
“But for this, Russia's will is needed,” Karni stated. He added that Russia's recent massive attacks on Kyiv demonstrate the importance of continued support for Ukraine.
The Prime Minister of Canada also announced the allocation of an additional 2.5 billion dollars in economic aid to Ukraine
Zelensky thanked Karni for his support and said that the night attacks on Ukraine showed that Russian President Vladimir Putin does not want peace.
