White House chief Donald Trump stated that after Iran, America's biggest enemy is the Democratic Party.
Modern.az reports that Trump called the Democrats "extremely incompetent".
“After the fall of Iran, America's biggest enemy is the Radical Left, the extremely incompetent Democratic Party!” Trump wrote on the “Truth social” platform.
Previously, Hakeem Jeffries, the leader of the Democratic minority in the U.S. House of Representatives, had accused President Donald Trump and “Republican extremists” of a “reckless war they started at their own will” in the Middle East.
“We need a regime change in America,” Jeffries said, adding that due to Trump's actions, the U.S. has become less secure.
The Democratic Party is preparing to paralyze the work of the upper chamber of Congress - the Senate. Democrats want to use the tactic of mandatory and repeated voting on resolutions concerning the president's war powers. Democratic Senator Adam Schiff from California explained this decision by the need to make the administration accept responsibility for initiating military action against Iran:
“An administration that loves to call itself the most transparent in history is hiding from all responsibility for this war.”
According to “Time” magazine, Democrats want to disrupt Republicans' plans to pass a law called the SAVE America Act. This law tightens voting rules in federal elections.
The SAVE Act is an initiative of members of the Republican Party and Donald Trump. According to the bill, U.S. citizens will be required to present a valid photo identification card to vote in elections.
Republicans want to pass this law before the next midterm elections, which will be held in November 2026.
