Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has apologized to Armine Mosyan, an Armenian woman displaced from Karabakh, and her son for the inappropriate tone of their conversation in the Yerevan metro.
Modern.az recalls that Pashinyan had argued with the woman in a metro carriage the day before. He accused the woman of fleeing Karabakh. It was later revealed that the woman is the daughter of Merujan Mosyan, who fought in Karabakh. Footage of the scandalous incident quickly spread online and caused outrage among many citizens.
"I apologize for the heated conversation with a respected and dear citizen displaced from Karabakh to Armenia... for not speaking as I should have. From the reactions and criticisms of some of my colleagues, I understood that not everything I said was as it should have been," the Prime Minister stated.
Pashinyan stated that he still cannot react calmly to the events of 2023 and considers this a serious mistake.
"Dear Ms. Mosyan, I apologize to you and your son for your feelings, and I hope we will have the chance to meet and discuss everything calmly... I know you will reject this offer and even say some harsh words, but I accept that. But if you suddenly decide that it is worth discussing everything calmly and without emotion, know that I am ready," the Prime Minister stated.
