US President Donald Trump announced that he had postponed attacks on Iran's energy infrastructure for 5 days and stated that negotiations were ongoing.

Modern.az reports that the US President noted this on the "Truth social" platform.

Donald Trump had given Iran 48 hours to restore the unimpeded passage of ships in the Strait of Hormuz. Otherwise, he had promised terrible strikes on Iran's energy infrastructure.

Iran, in turn, had announced that if the US-Israel coalition started an operation, it would lay mines in the Persian Gulf.

Donald Trump announced his decision to postpone the attack on Iran's energy infrastructure as follows:

"I am pleased to announce that the United States and the Islamic Republic of Iran have held very good and productive discussions over the past two days regarding the complete and definitive cessation of military operations in the Middle East. Based on the progress and tone of these deep, detailed, and constructive discussions, which will continue throughout the week, I have made a decision. In this context, and conditional on the successful conclusion of the ongoing meetings and discussions, I have instructed the Department of Defense to postpone any military attack on power plants and energy infrastructure in Iran for five days."
