“Iran and the US are not holding any talks”.
Modern.az reports that this was stated by the President of the Islamic Republic, Masoud Pezeshkian, on his Telegram channel.
"The US President's statements are made in the context of attempts to lower energy prices and gain time to implement his military plans," he said.
US President Donald Trump had previously stated that after two days of "very good and productive" talks with Iran, he had instructed the Pentagon to halt attacks on Iranian power plants and energy infrastructure for 5 days. According to Trump, Washington and Tehran discussed the resolution of the military conflict in the Middle East.
Pezeshkian, however, noted that in recent days, Iran has been holding talks only with Middle Eastern countries, particularly Oman, to ensure the coordination and passage of ships through the Strait of Hormuz.
"These contacts are open; no secret talks are being held between Tehran and Washington," he emphasized.
