Russian President Vladimir Putin will not send a congratulatory message to Peter Magyar, who won the parliamentary elections in Hungary.
Modern.az reports that Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov stated this while answering journalists' questions.
According to him, Russia does not send congratulations to “unfriendly countries,” and Hungary falls into this category because it supports sanctions against Moscow.
“We do not send congratulations to unfriendly countries. Hungary is an unfriendly country because it supports sanctions against us,” Peskov emphasized.
Alexander Yunashev, among the Kremlin journalists, wanted to clarify whether this decision was only related to the current political situation. He asked if this meant that Moscow only built relations with Viktor Orban.
