The decision to suspend the talks between the US and Iran that began in Islamabad did not surprise me; I had the impression beforehand that the talks were not well prepared.
Modern.az reports that German Chancellor Friedrich Merz stated this.
Merz also indicated that a diplomatic solution would not be a quick process, noting that the economic impacts would still be felt for some time:
"This will remain a long-term process, and we will continue to feel the consequences of this war for a long time, even after it ends."
