The legal battle between PSG and its former striker Kylian Mbappé has entered a new phase. A court bailiff visited the “Factory”, the headquarters of the Paris club, and presented a payment demand for approximately 6 million euros. This amount is reportedly owed to Mbappé and corresponds to paid leave, as well as interest.
Modern.az reports that this step was taken after the labor dispute court's decision at the end of December. According to that decision, PSG was to pay Kylian Mbappé a total of 60.9 million euros for unpaid salaries and bonuses during his time at the club. According to “L’Équipe”, although the Paris club paid 55 million euros, the remaining 5.9 million euros has not yet been transferred.
Despite the court's interim enforcement order, the non-payment of this amount has compelled Mbappé's side to act through an enforcement officer. PSG has eight days to fulfill the demand. Otherwise, there is a risk of the amount being directly deducted from the club's bank accounts.
The management of Paris Saint-Germain, in a statement, declared that salaries and bonuses had been fully paid and emphasized that negotiations regarding the remaining amount were ongoing. However, Mbappé refutes this version. The club can file an appeal until February 19.
The confrontation between Mbappé and PSG is not limited to financial matters alone. The footballer, currently wearing the Real Madrid jersey, had previously initiated legal proceedings against his former club with a claim of moral pressure (psychological abuse). At the heart of the allegations is Mbappé's exclusion from the main squad in the summer of 2023 and his placement in a group known as the “loft”. This practice, considered controversial in the football world, involves isolating certain players from the main squad.
At that time, the world champion striker had withdrawn this complaint to reduce legal tension and focus solely on his performance on the field. Kylian Mbappé intends to wage a final and decisive legal battle in his relationship with PSG.
