In Bratislava, the capital of Slovakia, thousands of people protested against the government.
According to Modern.az, the demonstrators protested against Prime Minister Robert Fico's visit to China and his meeting there with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
Robert Fico met with Vladimir Putin in China for the third time since the start of the Russia-Ukraine war and was the only European leader to participate in the military parade held in Beijing. This fact further increased dissatisfaction within the country.
Protesters gathered in Bratislava's central square chanted slogans such as “Pozor, pozor” (“Shame on you”). The rally participants also expressed their opposition to the government's announced harsh economic reforms, budget cuts, and misuse of European Union funds.
Next week in Bratislava, the liberal “Progressive Slovakia”, a major opposition party, is also expected to hold a separate rally.
