Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan stated that Turkey's course of supporting Azerbaijan will remain unchanged.

Modern.az reports that, speaking at a briefing on the outcomes of the Cabinet of Ministers meeting held in Ankara, he emphasized the importance of his participation in the military parade dedicated to the fifth anniversary of the Victory in the Patriotic War.

“We were alongside our Azerbaijani brothers, celebrating Victory Day in Freedom Square in Baku. Turkey will continue to stand by Azerbaijan in all circumstances, both in sad and joyful moments, within the context of the saying “One nation, two states”,” the President assured.

The head of state also touched upon the topic of the crash of a Turkish Air Force C-130 military transport aircraft in Georgian airspace.

The Turkish leader noted that condolence messages had arrived in Ankara from all over the world. “I am grateful to all friendly and brotherly countries that share Turkey's pain,” he stated.

According to him, the Georgian and Azerbaijani authorities, from the first minutes of the tragedy, combined all their capabilities by cooperating closely with Turkey, including the transportation of search and rescue teams, the identification of aircraft debris, and ensuring security in the crash area: “The full picture of the accident that claimed the lives of 20 Turkish servicemen will become clearer after the work of Turkish experts and the analysis of the content of the flight data recorder.”
