The dimensions of the State Flag of the Republic of Azerbaijan, hoisted in the State Flag Square, have been redefined and confirmed as a new record.
Modern.az reports that, according to the results of measurements carried out by a Guinness World Records judge and international experts, the Azerbaijani flag in the Square has been registered in the Guinness World Records with a width of 40 meters and a length of 80 meters.
In November 2024, these indicators were confirmed as 36 meters and 72 meters, respectively.
It should be noted that the height of the flagpole is 201.191 meters, the diameter of the pole on the pedestal is 5.7 meters, and its weight is approximately 1500 tons.
