Armenian civil society will visit Azerbaijan tomorrow.

Modern.az reports that the Armenian government made a decision at its meeting held today.

According to the decision, it was proposed to allocate 17 million 550 thousand drams for the organization of Yerevan-Baku and Baku-Yerevan charter flights to ensure the participation of 5 experts from Armenia in the round table discussion to be held in Baku from November 21 to 22, 2025.

It is noted in the justification of the decision that through participation in the round table discussion, contacts between Armenian and Azerbaijani civil society representatives will be activated, and mechanisms for building trust between the societies of the two countries will be created.

It should be noted that on October 21–22, 2025, a bilateral "round table" was held in Yerevan with the joint initiative of representatives of Armenian and Azerbaijani expert communities, and with the support of official structures of both countries.

Azerbaijan was represented by Farhad Mammadov (Head of the South Caucasus Research Center), Rusif Huseynov (Co-founder and Director of the Topchubashov Center), Ramil Iskandarli (Chairman of the Board of the National NGO Forum), Kamala Mammadova and Dilara Afandiyeva (Head of the Women's Peace and Security Center of the Azerbaijan Society for the Protection of Women's Rights).

The event was aimed at advancing the peace agenda in accordance with the spirit of the Joint Statement adopted in Washington on August 8, 2025, and was the first meeting of Armenian and Azerbaijani civil society representatives in this format.

From the Armenian side, Areg Kochinyan, Boris Navasardyan, Naira Sultanian, Narek Minasyan, and Samvel Meliksetyan participated in the discussions.

During the discussions, a wide range of topics of interest to both peoples were discussed - prospects for the peace process, humanitarian issues, economic and logistical opportunities in the context of normalization of relations, as well as steps to strengthen trust.

The parties also agreed on developing joint action plans and deepening regional cooperation in the future.
