The Chamber of Accounts conducted an audit of the effectiveness and efficiency assessment of state support (in the form of subsidies and concessions) in the crop production sector.
According to Modern.az, the Chamber issued an opinion on this matter.
It was stated that the existing problems, which arise from the process of identifying large and small horned animals being left to individual farms, a process crucial for controlling consumer prices of livestock products and veterinary measures carried out on animals, stem from the lack of results-based administration applied in the livestock sector.
“Evidence collected during the audit showed that strategic goals, annual operational plans, and monitoring regulations ensuring internal control related to the animal identification process were absent, and grounds have emerged to state that the relevant targets envisioned by the action plan of the “State Program for Ensuring Food Safety in the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2019-2025” will not be achieved by the end of 2025,” the opinion of the Chamber of Accounts stated.
