Russia has successfully tested its newest strategic missile, the “Sarmat”.
Modern.az reports that the commander of Russia's Strategic Missile Forces reported this to President Vladimir Putin.
According to the information, the intercontinental ballistic missile “Sarmat” successfully hit its intended targets during the test launch. The Russian side stated that the missile is of great importance for strengthening the country's strategic nuclear forces.
The “Sarmat” complex is considered one of Russia's most modern weapon systems. It is noted that the long-range missile is capable of carrying various types of warheads and is designed to overcome existing missile defense systems.
The Kremlin assessed the missile test as an important step towards strengthening the country's defense potential.
