Ikram Kerimov, chairman of the Elders' Council of the Bar Association, Honored Lawyer of the Republic, has passed away.
Modern.az reports that he died this morning.
It should be noted that Ikram Kerimov was born in 1942 in Kurdamir city. In 1966, he studied at the Faculty of Law of Azerbaijan State University. In 1966-1978, he worked as an investigator in the October (Yasamal), Gusar and Khachmaz district prosecutor's offices of Baku city, an investigator for important cases under the Prosecutor of the Azerbaijan SSR, and in 1978-1987, he worked as the prosecutor of Azizbeyov (Khazar) district of Baku city, first deputy prosecutor of Baku city – head of the investigation department. In 1987-2012, he held the positions of chairman of the Baku city court, chairman of the Military Court of the Republic of Azerbaijan for serious crimes, and chairman of the Sumgayit Court of Appeal for the North-East region.
