Russia has banned more than 200,000 foreigners from entering the country for violating its laws.
Modern.az reports that Andrey Kikoch, First Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of Russia, Head of the Migration Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, informed President Vladimir Putin about this at a meeting in the Kremlin. It was noted at the meeting that within the framework of preventive measures, the entry of 197,000 foreigners who violated the country's legislation into Russia was restricted for a certain period.
In addition, Kikoch noted that work has been intensified to detect documents containing false information, and cases of fraud have been recorded 10 times more. As a result of the work on detecting fake marriages and family relations, approximately 20,000 temporary residence permits and residence permits were canceled.
It should be noted that, according to unofficial information, more than 8,000 Azerbaijani citizens are among those banned from entering Russia.
It should be noted that approximately 9 million foreign citizens come to Russia every year, and currently 6-6.5 million people remain in the country.
