Russia launched attacks on various regions of Ukraine during the night and morning hours.
Modern.az reports that this was stated by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
According to him, a residential building in Kharkiv was heavily hit. As a result of the attack, the second and fourth floors of the multi-story building were partially destroyed.
Kyiv city was also subjected to drone attacks. Residential buildings, communication infrastructure, and gas stations in the capital were damaged. Also, an ordinary cafe was destroyed, and there was an attempt to burn down a food market. A ship sailing under the flag of Palau was hit in Odesa region. An ice cream production facility was damaged in Zhytomyr region.
Residential buildings in Sumy, Rivne, Kharkiv, and Odesa regions, and critical infrastructure facilities in Vinnytsia, Dnipropetrovsk, Khmelnytskyi, and Zaporizhzhia regions were reported to have been attacked. Zelensky noted that emergency services personnel are operating in all affected areas.
Currently, dozens of people are reported to be injured. In Kharkiv alone, 28 people, including 9 children, were injured as a result of the strike. It was announced that there were also fatalities as a result of the attacks. Two people died in Kyiv region. One of them was reported to be an Azerbaijani citizen.
“I extend my condolences to their families and loved ones,” Zelensky said.
The President of Ukraine thanked everyone who did not remain silent about what is happening in the country and prepared concrete support packages for Ukraine. According to Zelensky, Ukraine currently needs assistance with air defense systems, energy support, and financing budget deficits.
“These are the issues that truly strengthen Ukraine today and help our people endure these difficulties,” he emphasized.
