US President Donald Trump shared an image showing the Strait of Hormuz as US territory.
Modern.az reports that Trump made this post on September 6 on his “Truth Social” social network.
The image he shared shows a part of the region's map with the Strait of Hormuz circled.
The image is captioned “NEW U.S. Territory”.
It should be noted that Trump had previously spoken about the possibility of declaring the Strait of Hormuz a US territory. However, sharing a map on a social network does not change the legal status of the strait
