Modern.az reports that this information was provided based on ERA5 reanalysis data.

The global average air temperature across the planet was +16.96°C. This indicator is 0.84°C higher than the average temperature for 1991–2020.

The previous record belonged to August 2023 and 2024. In both of those years, the global average temperature was 16.82°C.
