Amid the threat of a new war, diplomats are trying to resume talks with Iran. At the same time, the US is increasing its military forces in the region, and Israel has prepared a plan for strikes against Iran that will last several days.

According to the publication, Washington is sending aircraft carrier forces and marines to the region. The plan prepared by Israel envisages strikes on objects related to Iran's nuclear program, its military infrastructure, and the country's leadership.
US President Donald Trump said that Washington does not intend to resume strikes on Iran until the midterm elections to Congress scheduled for November 3. However, he previously warned that if Tehran does not change its behavior soon, the US and Israel “will soon finish what they started.”
Diplomatic efforts continue with the participation of Pakistan and Qatar. One of the options being discussed is the release of part of Iran's frozen funds in exchange for concessions on its nuclear program.
However, the parties' positions on the agenda of the talks differ. The US is trying to discuss the nuclear issue, while Iran wants to focus attention on the opening of the Strait of Hormuz.
