It is proposed to create an opportunity for agropark residents and some foreign specialists involved in their work to work without obtaining a work permit in Azerbaijan.
Modern.az reports that the issue was discussed at today's meeting of the Legal Policy and State Building Committee of the Milli Majlis.
According to the proposed amendment to the Migration Code, foreigners and stateless persons who are residents of the agropark, and if the resident is a legal entity, its head and deputies will not be required to have a work permit.
The concession will also apply to agronomists, horticulture specialists and veterinarians involved in labor activities in Azerbaijan by that resident. For this, it is stipulated that these persons must have experience in the field of activity in which they will work.
The project also creates a legal basis for granting and extending the period of temporary residence permits in Azerbaijan for the listed persons.
The changes are expected to be in force from January 1, 2027 to January 1, 2032.
