Two people have died and hundreds have been evacuated as a result of forest fires on the Greek island of Salamis.

It is noted that two separate fires broke out on the island of Salamis. Strong winds caused the flames to spread rapidly. Two people died during the fire.
Hundreds of residents and vacationers were evacuated from dangerous areas due to the fire. A large number of firefighters, planes and helicopters were involved in extinguishing the fire.
