The European Parliament's Committee on International Trade (INTA) has approved the temporary abolition of customs duties on a wide range of products imported from Armenia to the European Union.
Modern.az reports with reference to Armenian media that the decision was made against the background of trade restrictions imposed by Russia on Armenian exports.
According to the proposal, the EU plans to abolish customs duties on a number of Armenian products for a period of two years. At the same time, quotas are planned for the duty-free import of eight types of Armenian agricultural products to the EU market.
These products include grapes, apricots, cherries, peaches and cucumbers.
