US Vice President JD Vance said that an agreement with Tehran is possible if the Iranian leadership fulfills its obligations to the United States.
Modern.az reports that Vance revealed President Donald Trump's position in an interview with journalist Vince Coglianese.
According to him, Trump clearly stated that "there is a scenario where we can reach an agreement with Iran." However, for this, Tehran must change its behavior.
"This requires the Iranians to fulfill their obligations to the United States," Vance said.
According to the Vice President, this principle will determine Washington's policy towards Iran in the coming months. The US is ready for negotiations, but the main focus will be on Tehran's concrete actions, not its statements.
"Negotiations will be held, but not just around words, but around deeds," Vance emphasized.
Thus, Vance stated that Washington does not rule out the possibility of a diplomatic agreement with Iran, but that it depends on Tehran fulfilling its obligations and taking real steps.
